Ana Karin of the wildly popular blog Layers of Ink shows off a stunning urban cuff created with the Fashion Cuff and Big City shape cutters from the Modern Surrealist collection for Sizzix!
I love the uplifting stampled on sentiment “You are enough.” And the way she juxtaposed the text in the cityscape foreground with the faux leather cuff base gives this project a really high end feel!
But the creativity did not end there! Ana Karin went on to create the most adorable mixed media tag featuring shapes cut from the Thought Talk Bubbles and Zippy Zipper dies.
She went all out with the layering and textured this funky tag with a variety of artistic embellishment techniques! Visit the Layers of Ink blog for a full step by step project tutorial!
Jonathan Fong is one of my favorite designers ever! I just love his stylish design aesthetic and creative use of materials and bright colors! He’s such a cool guy and quite a snazzy dresser too!
For example, check out this fun bustier chandelier he created using the Chained and Bustier Mini Card dies from the Modern Surrealist for Sizzix collection of shape cutting tools!

I am in awe of this mixed media cuff by craft master Margot Potter of DIY Doyenne! It is such an honor to see this beautiful project created by Margot, as she is someone I really look up to in the craft industry! She’s just an all around super fun, creative, witty, intelligent and multi-talented lady! And I love tuning into all of her creative projects and online advice!
Margot created this lovely cuff bracelet using the 3-in-1 Lips and Plain Cuff dies from the Modern Surrealist for Sizzix collection of shape cutting tools. Visit her blog for a full step-by step-tutorial on how to recreate this fun and funky mixed media DIY cuff project!
One of the great things about my collection for Sizzix is that all of the different pieces are sized to be compatible for layering, so the creative possibilities are truly endless!
Hilary Kanwischer used her creativity and sewing skills to create this beautiful handmade card with a cool and casual country vibe! I love how she incorporated a variety of custom embellishments including the sparkling silver center sentiment created using the Fabulous die from the Modern Surrealist licensed line of shape cutters for Sizzix!
Hilary made clever use of the holes on each end of the Fabulous script by using them to connect the piece to the card with brads, resulting in a very polished detail and eliminating the need for any adhesives! And I especially love her machine stitching accent around the heart opening! It’s such a joy to see all of these designers having fun creating with the shape cutters I’ve designed and expressing their very diverse sense of style!
