The finalists for the Craftys Awards have been nominated and as a member of the esteemed panel of judges, I just finished selecting my top pics for the Jewelry, General Crafts and Decorative Painting/Mixed Media categories! May the best crafters win!

The Craftys is thrilled to announce the 2017 awards show happening Sunday, February 12th, 2017, at the Engelman Recital Hall in Baruch College, New York.

Can’t make it to New York to attend in person? Well you’re in luck! The winners will be announced during a livestream on Feb. 12, 2017 at 4 p.m. ET.

The Craftys awards ceremony celebrates crafters and makers from across the United States with over $4,000 in cash and prizes for the best in DIY and crafts of the year.

The Craftys, now in its third year, focuses on categories from
traditional crafts such as sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, home décor
and jewelry-making to “geek crafts,” duct tape creations and edible
crafts. The event will be hosted by PBS crafting guru Mark Montano,
author of the “Big Ass Book of Crafts.”

With 170 finalists, the annual event averages over 1,200 entries and
400,000 votes from crafters within the DIY community. The Craftys’
Best in Show winner receives $1,000 cash and each category winner
receives $200, along with prizes from partners and sponsors.
