Modern Surrealist Joins the Designer Crafts Connection – Featuring Globecraft Memories

Hello Crafters! I am pleased to announce my participation in the Designer Craft Connection! This is an amazing bit of technology that lets you browse though all the participating designers blogs with ease! Simply click on the DCC logo located in the sidebar of this and every participating designers blogs to “hop forward” or “hop back”! It’s blog hopping made easy with fewer clicks! Also another really great aspect to the “DCC” is the monthly interactive giveaways which send you on a “cyber scavenger hunt” through the designer’s blogs! Designers post new projects each first Monday in a certain (optional) theme and today’s theme is Mother’s Day!

For this quick and easy Mother’s Day project, I decorated a Frame Set by
Globecraft Memories! In case you’re not aleady familiar with this awesome new product line, let me be the first to tell you that Frame Sets are unembellished, customizable “3D Tiny Treasures Display Systems” and they absolutely rule the earth! They are so totally right up my alley! Frame Sets are perfect for crafting and scrapbooking because they capture/display 3D components and are just so incredibly versatile!

For this project I used my trusty stand bys: Flat Back Acrylic Gems, Fashion Doll Shoes, Ad Tech Hot Glue and
Duck Tape Sheets  which I further embellished with Plaid Extreme Glitter. All of the cutting was made easy by Westcott Brand Titanium Bonded Nonstick Scissors! And I love the results! Check it out! Oh and if you are lucky enough to be in attandance at the Craft and Hobby Association Summer 2011 Convention, you can stop by the Globecraft Memories booth to see this piece in person!
