In 2005, sparked with an idea to create a recycled baby memento-keeper out of one of her son’s baby food jars, she founded Modern Surrealist LLC, which quickly developed an international following. Modern Surrealist WINS 1st Place in The Upcycled Plastic Bag Dress Challenge!!!

I'm happy to announce my First Place win of the Pre-Made Upcycled Plastic Bag Dress Challenge, announced at last Friday's 2010 Batavia Green Walk! My designer participation in the contest was sponsored by Westcott who also provided all the cutting supplies for the On-Site Plastic Bag Dress Challenge! I could not have created this chic design out of plastic bags without the use of my trusty recycled and antibacterial Westcott Kleen Earth Scissors! Thank you to Westcott and Water Steet Studios!!!
