Modern Surrealist Girlfriend's Gift Box on the Sizzix Blog Hop!!!
Check out this wild and sweet gift box project featuring Eileen Hull's new Rectangular Box die for Sizzix Scoreboards ! There's so much you can do with these awesome cutting dies! The possibilities are truly endless! I customized the blank box by decoupaging the surface with a scrap of acid green tissue paper and classic Mod Podge. I trimmed the excess paper with non-stick scissors by Westcott . I assembled the box with my trusty cordless Ad Tech hot glue gun. Then I added a funky zebra print pattern to the lower part by affixing embossing powders by Sparkle N Sprinkle with a Marvy Uchida Glue Marker and Marvy Uchida Embossing Heat Tool. I joined the lid with some hot pink wire twist ties and trendy heart buttons from the Blumenthal Lansing Favorite Findings collection. The front closure button is a trendy heart button layered over a leopard print La Mode Coordinates button also by Blumenthal Lansing. The pink studded handle is beads from an old bracelet on simple wire. For the inner packing, instead of using ordinary tissue paper I crumpled up some iridescent Fantasy Film by Art Glitter!

I was afraid sizzix was going to become a relic a few short years ago! Glad I stuck with it. All these new dies are way better than the competition! These sample projects are all so beautiful too! Gotta get a 2nd job just for sizzix dies! Thanks!
