Edible Arts & Crafts Demonstration

<:od>Thanks to everyone who attended my demonstration of edible arts and crafts during the National Day of Action to get Real Foods in Schools at Heritage Prairie Farm!

A great time was had by all as we enjoyed a healthy picnic lunch, yoga, DIY granola, veggie stamping, healthful vendors and together we signed a whole stack of letters to our representatives! The national "Eat-In" sent a clear message to congress that it's time to provide America's children with real food at school!

Slow Food is a non-profit, eco-gastronomic member-supported organization that was founded in 1989 to counteract fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world. To do that, Slow Food brings together pleasure and responsibility, and makes them inseparable.
